You are not wrong for many people. I do believe that is true. Some people demanded they would be respected in their own house, but those people were actually abusive. and abused. A man who employed that type of logic was most likely a domestic abuser. They demanded that their wife or girlfriend respect them and would beat them at any perceived slight or make-up one.

My parents were not like that nor were my grandparents. In their old age they let more things slip and are more comfortable talking about things.

Both my father and mother confess things to my white wife. They tell her about the evil they witnessed white people did that. Stories I have never heard.
