Thank you for writing this. I would love to know if your grandparents or your mother suffered any social reprocussions for her action. I think one side of history that we do not tell is the story of the white children who were snatched out of the pool. That is the side that I am most interested in. Who are these kids. I am going to write something on your piece in the future. However, your story is important and I love how you were reborn in that water. I too would assign great import to that day.
