Thank you for sharing your perspective and it got me to think and do som research. The time period that a lot of these mythical creatures that populate fantasy started to appear in the written record were after the cultures/races/nations had already engaged in war from around the world.

We know the Greeks and Egyptians had contact earlier than written records of Vampires. In fact, the first known culture to have something that we would believe are vampires were the Persians.

I too use to accept the use of fantasy being populated with only white characters as acceptable. Then I realized it was just people being lazy or bias. Mythology is fair, but a created universe that does not have anyone that looks like me in it, is just not my cup of tea.
