Thank you for reading what I wrote and writing something very thought provoking. I remember when the Right tried to smear people with the SWJ label, but the problem for them is that it had two words with positive connotation: justice and warrior.

Everyone wants to be a warrior for justice...so they needed to find a new word. "woke"

I had grappled with the word woke for a period of time. Then I believe I read something by Coates that alluded to the Dream.

We became woke from the Dream. I have made it a goal to read all of the books written by MLK. With each read I realize how fiercely intelligent this man was.

The version we have been sold is a sham.

We are at this moment in America because we have concealed how we got here. The act of waking from the Dream allows us to see how things got to be the way they are.
