Thank you for providing the historical context to this important lesson. We knew our parents did this out of the reality of the times they faced. We know it is through their sacerfice that we can get here today.

Rod is a medical doctor and I am attorney, because my parents wanted us to have careers that were not subjected to the whims of white men. If they laid us off or fired us we could go hang-up our own shingle and get to work.

I love my parents for what they did for us and this is the continutaion of that love in my daughter, their grand-daughter.
