The Politics of Black Pain
Ye wasn’t lying when he said “George Bush does not care about black people.” When he dies, those of us who cherish his first three albums and My Dark Twisted Fantasy will recite this line as proof that he loved us and we loved him (Author’s note: Ye has been a disgrace. When he met with Trump and started wearing the MAGA hat he was a disgrace. When he said slavery was a choice he was a disgrace. When he shouted out Candance Owens as a free thinker and then dressed up in matching white lives matter shirts, he was dead to us. If we were LDS and we had just come to his home we would have made a grand gesture of knocking the dust off of our shoes before we departed to let him know we had ex-communicated him.
