If they teach accurate American history, that would eliminate the bonds of fear and resentment that shackle many Americans. I did not add that the average black person has eight white friends. During American history, not everyone who is considered white today was white before the Civil War. You were only considered white if you owned property and were a man. Only male property owners were able to vote. Everyone else was not white, but aspired to be white.

After Reconstruction was sabotaged, and before Jim Crow was a period of black codes. These were laws and social mores that defined society. One code that only punished white people was playing pool at a pool hall with a black person. The white person, not the black person, would go to jail.

I am going to link you to a list of some of these laws.

Moreover, they made it illegal for black people and white people to live next together. If people actually understood or knew the truth…I think we would be a better society.
