I would love to see you write a ten minute essay on this, because I disagree but could be persuaded. Professor Jody Armor’s version of CRT is called NiggaTheory. Professor Armor was my second black teacher/professor. Twenty years later his work influences me a lot. It was on this very topic you raise.

Second, I also disagree with you regarding a culture or race or gender using perceived pejoratives to identify themselves. Women now use terms like bad bitch or boss bitch. Some whites refer to themselves as rednecks, poor white trash, trailer park trash, and peckerwoods.

I have heard Jewish rappers refer to themselves using the the K word.

I know some Latinos have referred to themselves and others using the term wet—k .

Again, the scholarly literature and my own experience undercuts your impassioned complaint/critique. However, I believe this topic warrants more nuance.

Again, a ten minute essay on this subject would be thought-provoking.
