I went to college in Iowa so I know about that corn very well (Storm Lake, IA). It is amazing how as kids we want those fish sticks. Even as an adult I am tempted by them when I go to the grocery store and then realize they are gross.

Also, thank you for picking up on the rap music. Every essay I write on Medium, I use a rap song. Like you I came to age during the 80s and 90s. Rap was the soundtrack of my life and I try to incorporate that in my writing.
