I really like what you are saying. I think the counterpoint is are there ethics when one is defending themselves? I guess you would contend...some make the choice to non-violently resist. To not even defend themselves when a blow is coming. That is the morality that they have chosen.

I think there is a difference between ethics and morality though. I guess that is the nuance I can explore in another essay.
