I read the Wretched of the Earth first when I saw it on the album art work of a RATM album. That was almost 30 years ago. Now, when I workout or walk I listen to it on my audiobook. He really speaks to the French and how they colonized Africa. I do not find much that resonates with me as the descendant of enslaved people in America. Yet, it is still rolling around in my head. Perhaps, something will happen that will allow me to use it to understand the world better and write about it.
