I disagree. We are in this current place because of whiteness and specifically white men. That is not divisive it is a fact. The reason we are here is because we have failed to routinely identify the problem.
Our labor unions are “too white” because of racism. Blacks have been run out of unions and or barred. Two decades ago 31% of black workers were in unions now less than 11% and declining.
If we want to meet this challenge we have to be honest and say the hard truths. We are in this position, specifically because of white men. Tomorrow, our midterms will be decided by white people. Namely white men and women.
