For the past couple of years I have been pondering why do some white people go so hard for Donald J. Trump? I have watched white people that I grew up with become infected by him and his ideology. I have seen his deleterious influence metastasize first in how they vote and spread to all facets of their life. People I know started wearing clothing with his name emblazoned on it. I have watched white people pray to him, stay at his properties, make a Hajj to one of his many rallies to be closer to him. I have seen them cover their vehicles with his bumper stickers and watch them fly his flag from their homes. So many white people have pledged their fidelity to man who refuses to conceal his own selfishness. After contemplating this more than I should, I have reached this conclusion: that if Donald J. Trump is allowed to be labeled a failure, then the myth of white supremacy is a lie.
