As argubly the highest ranking Dem in AZ politics, I had to call out racism by Dems on numerous occassions, by myself. I did it when it was unpopular. I did it when I was alone with no protection. Knowing that any aspirations that I may harbor were in jeopordy, but I did it because of my values.

Democrats have the hardest time talking about race. Republicans, are very good about talking about race and do it all the time. Gavin did issue a water-downed and weak statement that failed to meet the moment.

As somone born in Ingelwood, attended law school at USC. Who lived in LA for about a decade and whose best-friend is the sworn enemy of Bonin (and he hates her as well). Her Chicano booty forcefully called out the resignation of all of those people. She despises Bonin, but knows right from wrong.

The faliure of Democrats showing up for black folk is tragic. I always beleived that if the Republican Party elminated the overt racism, 35% of black voters would become Republicans in the first day.

The fact that Gavin has Presidential aspirations and saw how Bernie and Pete were destroyed in South Carolina, this is a horrible misstep. Then again, this is the same man who slept with his best-friends wife. So his judgment has been questionable.

At least Biden and others have forcefully demanded resignations.
